ACS spawn IDs are numbers used in ACS functions to represent thing types. They are separate from Doom editor numbers, and were initially designed to fit in a 0-255 interval, as required by the Hexen format where the ACS language started.

Spawn IDs can be identified by constants, as defined in zdefs.acs. A notable value is T_NONE (0), which can mean "anything", depending on function.

Inside EDF, a thingtype can get an ACS spawn ID by setting its acs_spawndata { num } value. It must be in the 1-255 range.
