Eternity provides a few specific sound effects beyond the base games, but also does special handling for a few internal sounds. Keep in mind that they're picked by their dehackednum defined in the base EDF files (see the sound reference). The EDF name is provided for display, and is usually defined in base's sounds.edf, either from the root or from one of the games.

! Dehackednum
! Name
! Name's originator
! Description
|-
||1||pistol||Doom||Played by A_PosAttack. For custom hitscan attacks, we recommend you to use the generic A_BulletAttack which lets you set your own sound.
|-
||2||shotgn||Doom||Played by A_SPosAttack and A_CPosAttack.
|-
||35||telept||Doom||Played by A_SpawnFly when spawning a new monster. NOTE: this is specific to the Doom 2 boss, not the generic teleportation event.
|-
||36-38||posit1-3||Doom||These sounds will play randomly when sighting the player during a A_Chase codepointer, if set as thing's seesound. This has been hardcoded like this for Dehacked compatibility. For custom random sounds, see the EDF sound reference.
|-
||39-40||bgsit1-2||Doom||Same rule as posit1-3.
|-
||53||skepch||Doom||Played by A_SkelFist.
|-
||54||vilatk||Doom||Played by A_VileStart.
|-
||55||claw||Doom||Played by A_TroopAttack and A_BruisAttack. For similar custom projectile attacks, use the generic A_MissileAttack.
|-
||56||skeswg||Doom||Played by A_SkelWhoosh.
|-
||59-61||podth1-3||Doom||These sounds will play randomly during a A_Scream codepointer if set as thing's deathsound. Same reason for hardcoding like this as with posit1-3.
|-
||62-63||bgdth1-2||Doom||Same rule as podth1-3.
|-
||79||bspwlk||Doom||Played by A_BabyMetal.
|-
||82||barexp||Doom||Played by A_VileAttack.
|-
||84||hoof||Doom||Played by A_Hoof.
|-
||85||metal||Doom||Played by A_Metal.
|-
