Eternity is backward compatible with DOOM's sector types. All types 0-17 have the same meaning they did under DOOM. Types 18-31 are reserved for extended sector types, that work like DOOM's and share the limitation that only one type can be active in a sector at once. No extended sector types are implemented at this time.
